This pendant began as a piece of moss agate I couldn't put down — all fire and earth, like a landscape caught inside a stone.
The moss agate is the heart of it — a long, tapered form in deep reds, burnt orange, and dusty grey, with the kind of surface that shifts every time the light changes. Above it, three round carnelian cabochons in warm honey-amber sit in a tight cluster, their glow playing off the agate's intensity. The contrast between the two stones is exactly what drew me in.
I built the frame from oxidized sterling silver — layered wire ribs that arch around the stone like the hull of a ship, with hand-forged wire tendrils extending upward into open space. The oxidation deepens every line and shadow, making the whole piece read as something ancient and architectural at once.
