Butterfly Wings | Sterling Silver & Brass | Pendant

Raw and thought-provoking in its form, this Butterfly Wings pendant will find whom it belongs to.

I made this piece for that feeling of recognition. When something catches your eye and you can't quite explain why. A little wild, a little unexpected. Beautiful without needing to be polished into perfect symmetry.

I brought together petrified wood, ocean jasper, Montana sapphire, tourmaline, salt & pepper diamond, and luminous stick pearls. I love the tension between them: earthy and luminous, angular and soft. Nothing matches exactly. I wouldn't want it to.

I framed the center salt & pepper diamond in a 14k gold bezel and worked in sterling silver and brass, letting warmth and contrast live alongside the raw forms. I wanted a piece with its own presence.

I don't imagine this pendant belonging to everyone. I imagine someone seeing it and thinking, there I am.
