I wanted these to move the way fire does — bold at the center, trailing off into something wild at the edges.
Rosarita coral sits at the heart of each earring — rectangular, deeply red, the color of a desert sunset pressed into stone. I set each cabochon into a hand-fabricated sterling silver bezel with a stepped architectural frame and a small concho ball at the crown, giving the top of the earring a graphic, structured presence. Below, five hammered sterling silver bars fan out in a fringe, each one hand-textured to catch the light as they move. They swing freely, creating that satisfying weight and shimmer with every turn of the head.
The back is clean and intentional — a hand-fabricated triangular back plate stamped with my maker’s mark, and a simple wire post. Nothing wasted. Everything considered.
