I built this piece the way a city builds itself — layer by layer, each element added because it belonged, until something entirely its own emerged.
Blue topaz anchors the top in an open wire bezel — faceted, electric, the color of deep water caught in afternoon light. Below it, the pendant descends through a landscape of stacked sterling silver and bronze: stamped bars, forged plates, a skeleton key, wire coils, granulated details, and found hardware all soldered into a single vertical totem. Kyanite stones in teal and blue-grey are set throughout, their raw directional shimmer playing against the oxidized metal. A white pearl cabochon sits nestled mid-piece like a quiet breath between the noise. At the base, a fringe of oxidized sterling silver chain and bar drops falls freely, adding weight and movement with every step.
I made this from remnants — pieces left over, set aside, waiting. Nothing here was wasted. Everything found its place.
